Once upon a time, there was a fellas who always pray the same thing for long time. One day, after performing solah, he raised his hands and said "Oh Allah! as usual. Aamiin" and left. When I observe it carefully, I can understand that he is about to give up and that's why he just simply said that "Oh Allah! as usual". He knows that Allah knew what he wants and been asking since long time.
When I was in form 2, one of my teacher asked a question from the class that "how many times to we perform solah in a day?" Everyone were answering that five times Teacher. Then, she asked again that "How many times do we pray and ask something from Allah?" Most of the students were silent as non was sure that how many times do we pray and ask Allah for what we want and what we need. She said that, we want something big, great but we just ask few times only. We should ask more and more as our Lord said in the holy Al- Quran: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!". May Allah protect us from the fire of Hell. Aamiin.
He is never fed up with us and always wants us to ask. Surely, we do not know what is good for us but He knows what we are asking. IS it good for us? If it is the best for us, He will make it easy for us and give it to us and if it is not good for us, He will not. Always ask Him, and He will answer us. Rasullullah the beloved Prophet of Allah who once upon a time pray to Allah till his armpit was visible to people around him. If we imagine how deeply the Prophet is seeking and asking from Allah. He is the Prophet that Allah loves most. How about us? Are we asking in that way?
Most of the time, we ask something from Allah but we didn't get it. Keep in mind and trust that He knows what is the best for us and He keep it for the right time. A piece of sharing from the past experience when we lost the volleyball game for few years continuously, our coach and teachers always say that "Allah postponed our victory for a better time". At the same time, they remind us that "we also need to check and reflect on our own sins". I'm just trying to make an inner connection that whenever we feel Allah postponed what we requested, always trust that He keep it for a better and right time and He also want us to reflect on our sins.
Taqdir and Fate. If you translate fate into other languages, it might give you the same meaning as Taqdir. However, most of us are not clear about it. Taqdir comes from the word al-Qadr which do indeed intend that Allah, the Almighty knows something that the preexisting and with His power, His will and His knowledge of the Most Wide and make determination not only in humans but also to the whole of creation in nature. So this is what we called "a notes written in Luh Mahfuz". Nasib (fate) is a portion of Taqdir which is scoped only to the aspects of human life such as pleasure and sorrow, good and evil as well as losses and gains. For example, you are poor doesn't mean that you cannot make your life better in future and so on.
Probably a question might raised in your mind what is the relationship of Taqdir and fate with this post. What I'm trying to highlight here is that we have no clear understanding of what is Taqdir and Fate and which one can be changed and which not. In life lots of things happened and we simply say "it is fate. what can I do?". Whatever which has relation with our daily life could be changed and we can make it better as long as our connection with Allah, The Almighty is always dialed and surely He will find the way for us.
As a conclusion, in this life we never know what is best for us and what not. Allah knows the best for us and surely He will gives us which is the best. What we can do is work hard, look for efforts and a non stop doa to Allah. This is our part and the rest we let to Allah. He will answer us but just the matter of time. Some got it earlier and some got it late. What we should not do is losing hopes in praying. Keep on praying as He surely will answer you one day. Wallahua'lam... (^_^)
Allah didn't promise that life will be easy but He promised that He will always be with you and every steps of your life.
Never forget Him as He never does,
Never give up of asking as He never tired of listening.
Sincerely,
Abdul Qahar
